Viva La Fiesta

Coventry & Warwick

Coventry

My experience in Coventry was an interesting and positive experience. I very quickly learned that there was much more to discover that I thought. It also helped that all my lectures were in English and this helped me not only integrate with regular social life in Coventry but also with the dance lessons, which I teach. I became even more involved once I was given a job at the University whilst doing my studies.

Coventry is a really International hub – a melting pot of different cultures and different styles of life. The University is very well known and it provides the perfect and most welcoming environment for close to 3,000 students from nearly 100 countries.

Coventry is in the heart of the Midlands, with Birmingham (one of the biggest cities in the UK) not very far off and London (of course everyone knows London) is just 90 minutes off by train. But closest to Coventry is another beautiful town called Warwick. It also boasts a mega University, like Coventry, with plenty of International students. It is not unusual to find International students from Coventry socialising with Warwick.

And this is where VIVA LA FIESTA comes in. This is the one event or party you can be sure will provide the best atmosphere for International and British students to mingle and get to know each other.  From what I understand, this year will involve not just Coventry but Coventry and Warwick. I cannot wait to get the new year underway!
